After the New Year, most families start out with the best intentions — organizing their homes, cleaning out those junk drawers and getting their lives in order. However, two months in, things often begin to pile up again.

One thing you can save to your Orggit account are all those warranties you’ve accumulated from holiday gifts and major household purchases. You always want to keep them, but it’s not always necessary to keep hard copies. Those manuals and warranty papers are often better scanned, converted to electronic documents, and loaded into Orggit, where you can access them when you need them yet get them out of your house.

First, locate all the warranties and manuals you have, then sort them by type. It can be helpful to keep all of the appliances in one area, electronics in another etc. Next, scan the warranties and save them to your computer’s hard drive. Be sure to give them a name that indicates what item they go with, along with the approximate date of purchase.

Now it’s time to log into your Orggit account and go to your Filing Cabinet. Navigate to the section where you would like to store your warranties and upload them. In just a few minutes, all of that information will be safely stored in Orggit, and you can remove it from your hard drive and throw it away!
