Caring for your family and raising your kids are full time jobs – and that doesn’t even include the extensive overtime you need to put in. By following these 5 helpful tips, you can help to alleviate some of the stress, and maybe even add some ‘me’ time to your schedule.
1. Do your work when you are most energized
This may sound pretty obvious, but most people don’t work according to their body’s schedule. No matter if you’re a morning or night person, you’ll be able to accomplish more if you work when your energy is at its peak.
2. Recycle your junk mail immediately
If you’re like most people, you get pounds of junk mail each year. Instead of holding on to it and throwing it away on a weekly basis, don’t be afraid to recycle it immediately. This will help to reduce your clutter – and will make it easier to say no to impulse purchases from those catalogs.
3. Record events and schedules electronically
Instead of holding on to all of your invitations, appointments, and schedules in paper format, pull the key information and record it on your computer. This way, you’ll have access to it whenever you need it. Plus, you'll be able to recycle all that paper!
4. Get rid of that countertop clutter
In the same breath of recording schedules electronically, you can also get rid of many of your other documents by scanning and uploading them to your computer. This way, you can clear all those documents that have been piling up on your countertops. Still need the original documents? You can organize these files into baskets or bins and keep them tucked away too.
5. Make your family’s medical information readily available
Do you know where your childrens' vaccination records are located? Most people don’t know even consider this until they need them. And by then, you’ll be spending hours looking for them. Instead, upload all of your family’s information to a secure online vault, like Orggit. This will ensure that you have all their information readily available wherever, and whenever, you may need it.
